Kick the day off with
exploring the waterfalls and caves of the local paradise of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lakes Prošćansko and Kozjak are the largest and highest, respectively, while the park’s virgin forest Čorkova Uvala is home to 157 different bird species. The park also features a myriad of trails and paths for enjoying quality hiking and biking.
You’ll need to take a break after all that beauty, and for relaxation, there’s nowhere better than the beach... But not just any beach will do! The island of Mljet is home to a beach called Saplunara, where you can soak up the bliss of white sands and lush pinewoods.

Great, because more adventure awaits! The Brijuni islands, located between Pula and Rovinj, form an authentic wildlife reserve. On this part of your trip, you'll enjoy the chance to get up close to animals from all over the world, such as elephants, lamas and zebras and indigenous species like Istrian cattle (boškarin), Istrian sheep and donkeys.
